Villa Purana is part of the Panacea Retreat complex, located in the Bophut Hills on Koh Samui's north coast. This four-bedroom villa for rent in Koh Samui welcomes guests with an amazing living area with high vaulted wood-paneled ceilings and glass walls overlooking the endless sea.
Villa plan
A covered gate and corridor leads directly to the living and dining pavilions of the Purana Residence. This impressive space, with its 'cathedral' ceiling and sliding glass doors, stretches across the entire width of the villa, opening onto a wide covered terrace with stunning views of the sea and the surrounding islands. An open staircase leads from the terrace to the pool, where the elegant master bedroom takes up a separate pavilion. The other three guest bedrooms are located on the ground floor of a residential pavilion with a shared terrace overlooking the pool and sea.
Living room
The overall space of the Purana Residence is centered around the main living and dining pavilion, which stretches across the entire width of the villa and opens onto a wide terrace with panoramic views. This luxurious space is crowned with a high "cathedral" ceiling with a cool cream ceramic floor covered with natural fiber carpets. On one side, the living room is furnished with comfortable cream sofas, a chaise longue and plush armchairs set around an oval coffee table and wall-mounted TV. Delicate Thai table lamps and decorative artifacts adorn the space. A spectacular 10-person dining table separates the living area from the open-plan kitchen with a breakfast bar. Tall glass doors can be folded down to connect to a wide furnished deck, creating a cohesive living and entertainment space to maximize the breathtaking views of the hilltop and neighboring Koh Phangan.
Outdoors
Whimsical bronze sculptures of animals and fish are a striking decoration of the residence's 20-meter infinity pool, which soars above the sea. The pool deck stretches along the villa and is furnished with brightly padded sun loungers and parasols that catch the cool sea breeze. At one end of the pool, a swim-up bar connects to a spacious floor-level living and dining area with built-in BBQ grill, drinks fridge and dining table for 10 - a stunning setting for a casual outdoor dining experience overlooking Koh Samui's famous sunsets. At Purana Residence you are surrounded by nature in all its tropical beauty. A variety of blooming frangipani and other fragrant trees and flowers create a luxurious tropical setting in this private villa.
Bedrooms
The four tastefully furnished bedrooms feature king-size beds, spacious walk-in wardrobes, warm sandstone bathrooms with double vanities, rain showers and terrazzo bathtubs in the master bedroom. All rooms have a private or shared terrace overlooking the pool, garden and sea. Interiors with cream tiled floors and carpets, warm woods and natural finishes are adorned with colorful Thai silk accents. Each room has a flat-screen TV, modern sound systems, personal safe and bedside air conditioning controls.
Master bedroom
The master bedroom occupies a separate pavilion at one end of the pool and opens onto a terrace with designer sun loungers. The Thai style roof creates an atmosphere of light and space. Tall glass doors open onto the poolside terrace and guests can enjoy stunning views directly from the king-size bed or bathtub.
Guest bedrooms 2, 3 and 4
At the rear of the lawn garden, just below the living and dining area, are three guest bedrooms of the same size and design, each with a bright bathroom. These elegantly furnished rooms have floor-to-ceiling glass doors leading to a wide communal terrace overlooking the garden and pool.
